Angela’s Star Wars quilt!!!

Angela made this awesome Star Wars quilt for her son.  Seriously so cool!!  She used a variety of Star Wars squares to mae the border, but the real focus is the awesome planet she created.  It felt like a few different layers of fabric, which made it more dimensional than the rest of the quilt, but it was easy to quilt through.  (The best picture of the planet is the header for this post, and you have to go to my blog to see it.  The post header pictures don’t show up I. The emails.)

I used white 30 Tex A&E Perma Core thread and Winline’s 8020 cotton poly blend batting.

Anglea asked if I could do a design that has squares in it, so I suggested my “Squared”©️ design.  I think it turned out great, and added some fun texture to the quilt, especially all the background fabric.

Squared is available on my website: https://www.quiltingit.com/shop/squared in several different digital formats or at Urban Elementz: https://www.urbanelementz.com/squared.html in paper and several different digital formats.  This design needs to be offset every other row.  I have an option on my gammill machine, and it offsets it for me.  Check if your machine does that too.

Those space ships are pretty cool, too!!  I’m bad, I don’t know what they are called.

This is what I love about my job!!  I get to see such an amazing variety of quilts.  It’s fun to add my little touch to help finish them.

Hope you have a great day!!
