Barbara’s Mystery Quilt

Hello,

I hope that you have had a great week!! It’s been a snowy day here. If you like where it snows, do you spend time sewing? Snow day = sew day? I didn’t sew…I was hoping to get started on another amazing client quilt. I will tomorrow! Hope you were able to sew.

This amazing quilt was made by Barbara!! It is a Mystery Quilt from Under the Garden Moon by Amy McClellan. Village Dry Goods in Brigham City Utah put together. It looks like they may have gathered blocks from several of Amy’s patterns to put this together. If you’re interested in more information, I linked the website above for Village Dry Goods. Their number is listed at the top of their website.

I love the mix of applique with the sewn blocks!!

We decided on my Sweet Orange Peel design for the quilting, and I love how it turned out. Sweet and traditional on this lovely quilt! Sweet Orange Peel is available in my shop. I believe I quilted this one around a 3” height. It is recommended anywhere from 3“-4”.

I used my favorite Winline 8020 batting and a light cream thread.

There are designs that are so versatile, and this is one of them. I have seen it on so many different kinds of quilts!! It can look traditional like it does here, or modern on a more modern quilt pattern. I love it when I create something that has such great quilty texture!!!

This was a quick one, thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!!
