Denise’s Casserole Quilt

I see so many incredible quilts come in for quilting, and I often want to make myself one. This is one of those times. I love the fabrics that Denise chose for this Casserole quilt.

The darling Casserole pattern is by Elizabeth Hartman and here is a link to the pdf. Go to: https://elizabethhartman.com/products/casserole-pdf-quilt-pattern

I used one of my favorite pantos called Skating by my friend Molly. Go to: https://lovely-threads-quilts.myshopify.com/products/skating

It’s so retro, which I love on this quilt and with these fabrics. It quilts out beautifully.

I used my favorite natural white Omni thread from Superior Threads. Go to: https://www.superiorthreads.com/omni-3002-natural-white/p/134-02-3002?show=Cones

I love these darling blocks and the pops of color!!

The quilty texture is sooo good!! Love it!

I used my favorite 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles, which you can see in the closeup picture above. Go to: https://www.winlinetextiles.com/blended-battings-winline-comfort-blend-s/127.htm

I love this color of minky and it pulled through a little bit, but not bad because it’s a regular pile. The minkies with longer fibers tend to pull to the front more. Also the regular pile allows the panto design to create beautiful texture on the backing. It’s also easier to quilt for me.

If you’re interested in having me quilt for you, check out my edge to edge calendar and schedule a day or two. Go to: https://calendly.com/quiltingit/edgetoedge

Thanks for stopping by! Happy quilting!! Leisha 💕
