Longarm Quilting Prices + Info
Hi there,
My name is Leisha, and I’m guessing that you’re here because you’re interested in getting a quilt machine quilted by me. Or maybe you’re just looking around. Either way, welcome!! I have been longarm machine quilting on a Gammill for over 20 years. I have a gallery with a wide variety of my quilting work, some of which were done freemotion or freehand, and the rest were done with my Gammill Statler (computer). I have also several blog posts with more of my more recent work as well.
To schedule edge to edge quilting go to my Calendly and pick a day. Or you can text or email me at quiltingit@gmail.com and I can add you to my calendar. Let me know if you have any questions. If you’re interested in having me custom quilt for you, send me an email at quiltingit@gmail.com or text me and please include a picture so we can discuss the quilting.

I offer a variety of Edge to Edge designs, which are quilted by my computer. Prices for edge to edge quilting start at $.03 a square inch, and go up to $.04 a square inch depending on the desired density of the design, with a $60 minimum per item quilted. I already quilt designs smaller than the suggested design size, to the appropriate scale for the quilt. However, upon request I am happy to quilt more densely which could increase the price up to $.04 a square inch. Thread is additional charge at $1 per bobbin, and variegated is $2 per bobbin. I charge extra for changing thread colors. I’m adding new quilting designs all the time, however if you have your eye on a design that I don’t have, let me know.
I charge $50 an hour for custom quilting.
I carry a few different kinds of batting. Batting prices are constantly changing, they currently range in price from $11.00 a yard to $18.50. I offer high quality 8020 cotton/poly blend, 4 oz and 6 oz 100% bamboo, and they are all natural color.
I use Omni thread on my machine. If you have a particular color you’d like, we need a little extra time to get that ordered.
I do accept rush quilting with an additional rush fee, which starts at $100 and goes up depending on the time, size of the quilt, and how extensive the quilting is.
Please use my new Longarm Quilting Services Request Form which will send all the info for your quilt directly to my email. If you need my address I can email or text it to you.
Let me know if you have any questions. I would love to quilt for you!!
Quilt Preparation for Machine Quilting
Thank you for trusting me with your quilt and supporting my small business! Following these simple preparation steps will help ensure the best quilting results.
Quilt Tops
• Press your quilt top well. Seams should be pressed to one side when possible.
• Trim all loose threads.
• If the quilt or backing is directional, pin a note indicating the top.
• Fold quilt top, backing, and batting separately.
• Avoid adding embellishments (buttons, etc.) before quilting.
• Carefully attach borders to avoid wavy edges by measuring and cutting each strip to each side.
Backings
• Backing must be at least 4 inches larger on all sides of the quilt top, it’s okay if it’s bigger.
• Press backing well to remove fold lines, otherwise you may have a pleat in the backing.
• Square up the backing so edges are straight and leave the selvages on the edges.
• Horizontal seams are preferred over vertical seams.
• Recommended fabrics: quilting cotton, flannel, minky, or sheets.
• Avoid stretchy fabrics, fleece, silky fabrics, terrycloth, and high-thread-count sheets.
Batting
• Batting should be at least 6 inches larger than the quilt top in width and length.
• If joining batting pieces, use a zig-zag stitch for better durability.
• Avoid low-quality polyester batting that pulls apart easily.
Shipping
• Notify me when shipping your quilt and provide a tracking number.
• Place quilt inside a bag before putting it in the shipping box to avoid any possible damage during the shipping process.
• Quilts are returned via USPS unless UPS or FedEx is requested.
Payment
• Accepted methods: check, cash, Venmo or Apple Pay.
• Please do not mail cash.
• Payment is due when picking up your quilt or before it is shipped back to you.
Special Notes
• Denim quilts are only accepted if the denim squares are sewn with cotton squares every other block and they do not contain bulky seams or pockets.
• If you have questions, please feel free to reach out!
