Barbara’s Confetti Cabin Quilt
I have loved sharing all the colorful quilts lately…and here is one more!!
Barbara made this fun Confetti Cabin Quilt, amazing huh?!?! The pattern is FREE on the Moda Fabrics website and it’s by Kristina from Center Street Quilts.
Barbara used ombré confetti fabrics from Vanessa from V&Co, and I think it’s so beautiful. I love the vibrant colors!!!
I used the fun Mod Dotz quilting design by Patricia Ritter from Urban Elementz, to quilt it. This design is so versatile, I’ve used it several times over the years. If you’re looking to add a design to your machine, grab this one.
I used 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles and Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads.
The dots in the fabrics and quilting design go so great together!!! Love it!
Have you made an ombré quilt yet? If not, you should. They are so fun!!

Debbie’s Tumbler Quilts
I have a couple of fun tumbler quilts to share with you!! If I remember right, they were kits from the local quilt shop. Cut and ready to sew together, which is great because all the fabrics go together so well!
How beautiful are these colors and prints together?!?! I love them. If you’re looking for a simple quilt which will show off the fabrics, a tumbler quilt is a great option.
I gave Debbie a few design options and she chose Leafy Bloom by Jess from The Longarm League. It’s such a beautiful design!
I used a golden tan Omni thread from Superior Threads and 8020 cotton poly blend batting.
For a design like this that is on a horizontal line, I did offset it…which Jess recommends, but I also made the design smaller than the tumblers so that I didn’t have to line the design up perfectly in each row. I think it turned out great.
What questions do you have about quilting? Comment below.
A good minky swirl, look at that texture!!
Here is another tumbler quilt, with brighter more summery fabrics.
I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads, which is the perfect white color in my opinion.
I used 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles, which is my favorite 8020 batting I’ve used.
I chose Triplet for the quilting, and it’s a perfect panto with all of these floral fabrics. It’s from Shelly from Ma Tante Quilting panto shop, designed by her mum. It’s a classic and stitches out beautifully. If you don’t have it yet, you should get it!!
Look how sweet Triplet is, and I love the name. So clever!
A couple of more pictures…enjoy!
Look at that fun quilty texture on the minky backing. Love it!!

Denise’s Ombré Gems Quilt
Oh, boy…do I have a quilt to share with you!!!
This beautiful quilt is Denise’s Ombré Gems quilt…amazing, huh?!?! The pattern is by the oh so kind Emily Dennis from Quilty Love. I have made this quilt too, and it’s definitely one of my favorite makes. Emily even tells you how to cut the ombré fabrics to get the cool effect inside each block. Denise used the confetti ombré fabrics from V&Co.
I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads, and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline.
I gave Denise a few options and she chose Amberly by Keryn Emmerson. I LOVE IT!!! I think the quilting design with the confetti dots…is just sooo good! I also love curves quilted on this quilt, it helps soften all those hard lines.
If you’re looking for a fun and colorful project, try this one out…you won’t be disappointed.
A few more pictures, just because!
You’re welcome!
Love the shimmer from the confetti dots, it adds such a fun element.
Do you have any quilts that you’d like to have quilted? I’d love to quilt for you!! Send me an email, and I’ll get you on my list. quiltingit@gmail.com

Heidi’s Baby Quilt
Hi there,
I have a fun quick baby quilt idea for you…I guess it’s quick if the people you request a square from are able to get you their square.
Heidi made this cute simple patchwork quilt for her new grandson. To surprise her son and daughter in-law (hopefully I got that right, if not daughter and son in-law), she requested everyone from both families to contribute a square of fabric that represents them. Heidi added some sashing and a border to frame the squares nicely.
I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles.
Loving that quilty texture!!!
Such a fun variety of fabrics. This would be a great eye spy quilt.
I think she said she gave them a color scheme, just to make sure the fabrics would work together.
If you’re interested in having me quilt for you, please send me an email and I’ll get you added to my schedule. quiltingit@gmail.com

Denise’s Glacier Star Quilt
Hello Friend,
I’m so excited to share this incredible quilt that Denise made…I’m in awe! I’m sure you are, too.
The pattern is called Glacier Star by Judy Niemeyer’s, and it’s a foundation paper pieced pattern. It looks like the pattern is available through shops that teach the technique. I’ve linked info from one of the shops. If you’re interested, contact them for more info.
I wish you could all see this one in person. The colors are so beautiful against the black background.
I thought and thought about what designs to suggest for this quilt, and kept coming back to 1/2” lines. When I suggested the 1/2” lines, I suggested the variegated thread as an option, too. Denise loved that idea!! I was so excited!!! I used my Lined 1/2” design to quilt it, which is available in my shop.
I used Superior Threads Omni-V variegated thread…color #9044 Zumba…it has purple, orange, yellow, and green in it. I also used 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles. I thought about using black batting, but there are enough light colors on the front, I didn’t want the dark to show through.
Now, I’ll just share a variety of different pictures…it really is such a stunning quilt.
I’m sure it would have been great with a different quilting design, but the lines allow the quilt to shine and doesn’t take away from the overall quilt design. Plus, lines are super modern…which fits this quilt perfectly.
Another close up. Look at all those stunning points. Love!

The pattern is by Missouri Star Quilt Company and is called Stacks. I love love love it made with the ombré dotted fabrics by V&Co.
Denise chose Love Code for the quilting, which is designed by Jess from the Longarm League. It’s such a great design!! The texture is so much fun.
I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline.
This actually looks like an easy pattern, which shows off the ombré fabrics beautifully!
Do you have any quilts ready for machine quilting? Send them my way. Email me at quiltingit@gmail.com to get on my list.

I have another incredible quilt to share with you today, made by Denise!! Check this out…
The pattern is called Tessellation by Nydia Kehnle and Alison Glass. It’s amazing!! This details are so fun.
I used the Zing panto design by Sarah Ann Myers to quilt it, which is available at Urban Elementz. It’s such a fun one!! I love the angles and textures that it adds to this show stopping quilt!
I used a light grey Omni thread from Superior Threads and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles out of Utah.
The colors, pattern, and textures are such a fun combination!!
Are you a fan of colorful quilts? I am…they are stunning.

Denise’s Mo the Cat Quilt
Check out this incredible quilt that Denise made!!! Its art!
This is one of the Legit Kit quilts that they offer called Mo the Cat. They have options for a variety of different kits.
I used a purple Signature thread and my favorite 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline.
I suggested my 1/4” Lined design for the quilting, and it turned out sooo good!! Lined 1/4” is available in my shop.
Those eyes are incredible!!!! I’m in awe at all the piecing.
I love what minimal quilting can do for a quilt!!
Have you ever done foundation paper piecing? I have on a small pumpkin table runner and quilt. It’s fun!

Denise’s Mix Tape Quilt
Hello Friends,
With a new year around the corner, I’m hoping to stay more up to date with the quilts I’ve quilted, let’s see how that goes. For starters, how fun is this?!?!!!!
Denise made this fun Mix Tape quilt and the pattern is by On Williams Street. Yes, I have the quilt upside down for the picture. I didn’t think twice about it, until now. Forgive me. It’s such a cool quilt!
Denise wanted a lightning bolt type of quilting design, I searched a few and found this Ric Rac design by Patricia Ritter from Urban Elementz. It’s a fun one!!
I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads. I also used 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles out of Utah.
The quilty texture on this one is perfect!!
If you’re interested in having me quilt for you, send me an email at quiltingit@gmail.com and I’ll get you on my schedule. Have a great day!

Linda’s Thrift Quilt
Hi There,
I can believe it’s almost already thanksgiving!! I hope your holiday season is wonderful. I’m looking forward to the fun parties and family time ahead.
I’ve never gone looking for quilts in a thrift store, if I do I hope to fine one like this one!! Linda found this beautiful vintage Grandma’s Flower Garden quilt. Lucky!! She had me quilt it just in time for her child’s wedding.
I used 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline, and cream Omni thread from Superior Threads.
If I remember right, because I’m behind in blogging and can’t remember…this was pieced by hand. Makes me excited to finish my hexie flower quilt. I’m sewing rows together. Then I’ll need to finish the edges.
I love how a design like this, which is a classic, shows off the beautiful piecing.
It’s also fun to see these beautiful vintage fabrics.

Sherry’s Chicken Salad quilt
Check out this adorable chicken quilt!! Lori Holt always creates the cutest patterns.
Sherry made this Chicken Salad quilt by Lori Holt with her fabrics as well.
I used Natural White thread from Superior Threads on the entire quilt, and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles.
I custom quilted the entire quilt. As you can see in all of the chicken blocks, I quilted my Overlapping Circles freemotion design in the background and a variety of feathers that fill the spaces in the chickens. Overlapping Circles is just one of ten different designs that I teach in my Quilting It Freemotion course. There are so many fun designs to choose from or I’ve bundled them and given you a little savings. Either way, if you’re wanting to get started or expand your freemotion quilting abilities, this course is for you!!
I quilted a 1” cross hatch in all of the rectangular blocks, with an x then an orange peel in each of the squares. I used my 4” Circle2 ruler for the orange peel petals. Which I think creates such a fun texture overall.
Here is a close up on one of the cute chicks.
All that beautiful texture!!

Laurie’s sunny quilt
Hello Friend!
I have a very cheerful quilt to share with you. My friend Laurie made it with one of her favorite colors…yellow!
The pattern is called Perfect Ten by Swirly Girls. Such a fun pattern!!!
I used my new favorite Triplet panto, designed by my good friend Shelly’s mom from Ma Tante Quilting. It’s a beautiful stitch out and look at how cheerful it is. It’s the perfect texture for this quilt.
I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles out of Ogden Utah.
I love the mixture of prints that Laurie used. So soft and sweet.
One more look at the layers of that beautiful texture.
Finishing off with a quilt swirl.

Ineke’s stunning Get Together quilt
Hello Friend,
I have a stunning quilt to share with you!! Amazing, right?!?! Look at all those incredible pieces. This isn’t a big quilt either.
Ineke made the center of the Get Together quilt, that was featured on the front cover on the April 2020 issue of the American Patchwork and Quilting magazine. She added borders to fit and wow, right?!?!! The designer is Diane Tomlinson.
I used a tan Omni thread from Superior Threads, and my favorite 8020 cotton poly blend fabric from Winline textiles.
Can you believe all those tiny pieces?!?! If I remember right, those flying geese were 1” wide. Wow!!
I used Aphrodite by Patricia Ritter at Urban Elementz. It’s such a beautiful feather with perfectly placed circles. Love the texture!!
I wish you could see all those pieces in person. My clients make the most beautiful quilts!!
Another close up.
The backing…all that gorgeous quilty texture.
Would you like to have something quilted? Send me an email and I’ll get you added to my list. Thanks for stopping by. Happy sewing… • Leisha
Laurie’s Spring Bunnies Topper
Winter is starting to come here in Utah. The mountains have snow, but thankfully it hadn’t stayed on the grass yet. Which means maybe it’s time to start working on a cheery spring topper, like this Spring Bunnies quilt that Laurie made. The pattern is part of a monthly topper kit that Riley Blake did. I actually found a few online shops that are offering it. The one linked above currently has 5 kits left. If they sell quick, do a google search and hopefully you’ll find others. If you’d like just the pattern, contact Riley Blake.
Isn’t it so cute?!?!?!!!!
I quilted two of my super fun freehand designs Overlapping Circles and Grass, which are part of my Quilting It Freemotion video course. I take you through 10 different freemotion quilting designs, which will bring you from beginner to confident quilter. Check them out. You can either pick and choose which design you’d like to learn, or get the whole bundle. It’s self paced and so much fun!
I added some fun lines in each of the ears and finished off the topper with some ribbon candy in the border.
I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads and a scrap of 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles.
Aren’t those Overlapping Circles so fun!! One of my favorite textures.

Kari’s Halloween Quilts
Hello…
I have a couple of quick quilts to share with you today!!!
With Halloween right around the corner, Kari made these fun Halloween quilts for a couple of her grandkids, and she even got to hand deliver them on a recent trip to visit them. Fun grandma, and lucky grandkids!
I used Pumpkin Fest Petite by Patricia E. Ritter and Melonie J. Caldwell from Urban Elementz to quilt this fun patchwork quilt.
I used natural white Omni thread, and my favorite 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles.
I’ve done many swirls with the front of a quilt, but never thought to do one with a quilt backing. But then again I didn’t have this fun purple textured minky before. Love!!!
This simple strip quilt is the perfect size for any little kid!! And the fun Halloween fabrics make it even better.
I used natural white Omni thread and the same 8020 cotton poly blend batting.
Kari requested bats, so I searched for a variety of different panto designs and she chose Batty Meander by Maureen Foster, which is available at Urban Elementz. It turned out so fun!!
I love the mix of Halloween fabrics!!
If you’re ever in need of a quick meaningful gift, simple quilts like these are a great option! Find some fun fabrics and let them shine with simple squares or strips.
If you’re looking to have some of your quilts quilted, send me an email and I’ll put you on my list. Look forward to working with you!! quiltingit@gmail.com

For our sweet Ruby
If you were following along on my instagram in the spring, my mom and I were making two of these quilts. One for our sweet little Ruby and Penny. Ruby was coming soon and Penny just celebrated her first birthday. So we decided to make them twinning quilts. We should get a picture with them both.
This beautiful pattern is by Elizabeth Hartman and it’s called Crystal Cluster, and my mom has two kits which includes the pattern and binding, in her shop. We used other solid fabrics available in her shop, so we didn’t have to use one of her kits. Go to https://www.etsy.com/shop/sistersandquilters/ And see what they have available.
Here is miss Ruby, isn’t she absolutely adorable?!?!
We actually didn’t have a few of the colors in solid, so we actually used some ombré fabrics and it turned out so fun!!!
We used this fun speckled fabric from Ruby Star Society called Speckled from Rashida Coleman Hale for the background. I love the hint of sparkle from the gold flecks. My mom also has some in her shop.
The colors are so fun to have rainbowed around…such a fun pattern! It looks complicated, but the pattern comes together in such a fun way.
I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Thread and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles.
We decided on the fun butterfly fabric from Ruby Star Society’s Stay Gold line by Melody Miller, and a soft pink dashed fabric by Gingiber in her Words to Live By line…for the binding.
Another view!
It’s fun to have two to take a variety of pictures with…
Like this.
I hope you enjoyed all the pictures of this beautiful quilt, and that sweet Miss Ruby!

Jennifer’s Suburbs Quilt
Okay, how fun is this adorable Halloween version of Cluck Cluck Sew’s Suburbs quilt pattern, that Jennifer made?! I love it!
I used a medium grey Omni thread from Superior Threads to quilt it, and my favorite 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles.
Jennifer asked for spider webs, so I quilted Haunted Web by Apricot Moon Designs, which is available at Urban Elementz.
Just in time to use for Halloween!!
Some close ups and look at all that fun texture!
Do you have a fun Halloween tradition? We do! My nieces and nephews get dressed up and we have a little party. There is always too many treats, and loads of fun!! I hope you have a wonderful Halloween.
Thanks for stopping by!
I would love to quilt for you!!! If you have a closet full of quilts ready to get quilted, send me an email and we can get those beauties done! My email is: quiltingit@gmail.com

Cecili’s modern quilt
I have another fun modern quilt to share with you!!!
Cecili made this for her son to take to college with him, using a variety of neural and blue fabrics.
There is no pattern, she just made large half square triangles and laid them out in a pattern that she liked.
I used my Lined 3/4” to quilt it, which is available in my shop. There is mainly on the back of this quilt, so I think 3/4” is a great option to ensure the milky is still soft and cuddly.
I used a light gray Omni thread from Superior Threads, and 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles.
To help with thread breaks as it quilts back and forth, I turn the needle a little more to the right around 5:30 if you think of the eye of the position like a clock.
If you’d like for me to quilt for you, let me know! Email me at quiltingit@gmail.com • I’d love to quilt for you!

Lisa made this beautiful Nesting quilt for a friend, pattern and Nantucket Summer fabrics are by Camille from Thimble Blossoms.
I sent them some quilting options, and they chose Cyclamen by Keryn Emmerson. It’s such a fun design, and quilted out beautifully.
I used my favorite natural white Omni thread from Superior Threads, and 8020 cotton poly blend batting.
That quilty texture is so beautiful!!!
Another close up!
I love the scrappy look of this quilt!
