Laurie’s t-shirt quilt!
Laurie made this for her son for Christmas!! It’s such a cool t-shirt quilt. Such an awesome variety of shirts. One thing I love about this one, and the last one I quilted...the nuetral sashing between the shirts. It just frames the shirts so nicely!! Without competing color wise.
I also love the variety of t-shirt sizes.
I used a white 30 tex Perma Core A&E thread and Winline’s 8020 cotton poly blend batting.
When I saw this quilt I knew that I wanted to quilt my Squared©️ design on it. Laurie agreed, and I love how it turned out!!! Squared is available on my website in several different digital formats. Go to: https://www.quiltingit.com/shop/squared and also in paper and digital formats over at https://www.urbanelementz.com/squared.html
One thing I’m always looking for, is a great masculine design...without it being too juvenile or out there. I think this design is perfectly awesome! I’ve used it quite a few times, and have seen it on a variety of different quilts. I have a couple of my own quilts to put it on. I guess I have to make them first. Haha!!
If you’ve never made a T-shirt quilt, and have wanted to, and don’t know where to start...check out the post I shared when I made one for a customer. https://www.quiltingit.com/blog/2018/3/26/t-shirt-quilt-a-first-for-me?rq=T-shirt
Look at the minky texture!!!
I hope you had a great holiday season and have some amazing this in store for you this year! Happy 2019!!
