Kristan’s Thrive and Unity Quilts

I’m excited to share two beautiful quilts that I was able to quilt for Kristan back in April. Both of which are patterns by Primitive Gatherings.

This first quilt is called Thrive, isn’t it stunning?!!! It was part of a block of the month for 2025. They currently have that still available. Go to this link and choose a pattern or a pattern with a kit. https://primitivegatherings.us/thrive-pri-2233-preorder/ Please note, at a future time they may not offer the kit anymore.

When I first saw this quilt, I immediately thought of one of Patricia Ritter and my panto designs called Taj Mahal Echoed. I suggested it to Kristan, and she said yes!! I’m so happy she did, I absolutely love how this turned out. It’s such a versatile and stunning quilting texture, and as you can see it quilts up beautifully.

Taj Mahal Echoed is available at Urban Elementz. Go to: https://www.urbanelementz.com/taj-mahal-echoed.html

The great thing about panto designs, is they create a unique texture and look for each quilt. I’m not sure that I’ll quilt another Thrive quilt again, I typically don’t quilt too many of the same quilts. So this combination is unique. If I had the opportunity to quilt another one, I’d love to. I would suggest this design as an option, but know that sometimes others have a different design in mind for their quilt.

I used my favorite Natural White Omni thread from Superior Threads to quilt it. Don’t forget to use my non-affiliate code ASTLEISHA at checkout to get 15% off your next order. Go to: https://www.superiorthreads.com/omni-3002-natural-white/p/134-02-3002?show=Cones

I used 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles. It’s my favorite go to batting. Go to: https://www.winlinetextiles.com/blended-battings-comfort-blend-roll-96-p/win-bb-cb-roll-96.htm

I also want to point out how beautifully the white thread blends on the quilt. Doesn’t matter the color of fabrics, it’s beautiful.

I’ve been longarm quilting for over 21 years, and one of my favorite parts is suggesting a design to quilt on your quilts. My clients sometimes have suggestions as well. It’s fun to collaborate and figure out something that will be a great fit.

A couple other looks at the quilty texture.

Next up, is the Unity quilt! Absolutely beautiful, hug?!?!

This quilt was a 2025 quilt along called Unity, with Primitive Gatherings. I can’t find the pattern for it, if I do, I will add it to this post.

Kristan used reproduction scraps and a Para Buddha print for the background. I love the combination so much.

I used the Oak color of Omni thread, which blends perfectly, it’s by Superior Threads. Don’t forget to use my non-affiliate code ASTLEISHA at checkout to get 15% off of your next order. Go to: https://www.superiorthreads.com/omni-3018-oak-brown/p/134-02-3018?show=Cones

I suggested the Rolling Hills panto by Julie Hirt, and Kristan said yes. It’s such a fun design. It’s kind of a little hard to see because the thread is blending so well, but it turned out so great on this quilt. Go to: https://www.etsy.com/listing/455878314/rolling-hills-longarm-quilting-digital

I also used 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles, for this quilt. You can find it here: https://www.winlinetextiles.com/blended-battings-comfort-blend-roll-96-p/win-bb-cb-roll-96.htm

Thanks for stopping by! Happy quilting, Leisha 💕
