Midway Wool’s Gilded Gaggle Quilt

Excited to share this darling geese wall hanging that I was able to recently custom quilt. More on my custom quilting availability…

The pattern is called Gilded Gaggle by Jennifer Anderson from Midway Wool. Midway Wool specializes in wool patterns and fabrics. They offer just the pattern or the kit. Check out the details here: https://midwaywool.com/products/gilded-gaggle?variant=46756155326723

I first thought I might have to hunt for a minty green thread, but pulled out my gray threads, and the Light Grat Omni thread from Superior Threads was a perfect match. That is what I used for the background. Go to: https://www.superiorthreads.com/omni-3023-light-gray/p/134-02-3023 and for the border and geese I used Cream Omni thread. You can find it here: https://www.superiorthreads.com/omni-3004-cream/p/134-02-3004

Don’t forget to use my non-affiliate code “ASTLEISHA” at checkout for 15% off your order.

Did you know I have a freemotion quilting video course??? I do! In each video I teach one design. For $35 a video is a pretty great way to start or advance your freemotion quilting skills. I’ve broken it up in case you already know how to Stipple or quilt Swirls, but want to learn how to do my Overlapping Circles or another design. You can pick and choose or the bundle is available too, which includes all 10 videos. Go to: https://www.quiltingit.com/quilting-it-freemotion-course

The border and background are my Swirly Feather freemotion design, which is found here • https://www.quiltingit.com/quilting-it-freemotion-course/p/gn8izw5h2m5otf2xkq7zs7fax4vb6p-d3ejz

The geese are all quilted in my Grass design, which is available here • https://www.quiltingit.com/quilting-it-freemotion-course/p/gn8izw5h2m5otf2xkq7zs7fax4vb6p-6n24p

The Swirly Feather and Grass freemotion quilting compliment one another so well. The combo also creates an elegant texture and movement to the quilt.

One of the things that Jennifer is so great at are the details. Check out some of the darling sewing charms that are attached to the bows. They come in the kit that Midway Wool offers. Linked above.

An iron…so cute!

Scissors…my favorite, if I had to choose.

The featherweight sewing machine…another favorite. We can have more than one favorite, right!?

The spool…aren’t they just the cutest charms?!

Love these beautiful geese.

I’m going to occasionally open up my custom quilting spots, however right now my spots are full. Follow me on my instagram to find out when I have spots available. I’m limiting the size and density, so when I open my availability we can discuss that further. https://www.instagram.com/leishakaye

If you’re interested in edge to edge quilting. Check out my calendar and schedule a day or two: https://calendly.com/quiltingit/edgetoedge

Thanks for stopping by!! Happy quilting! Leisha 💕
