Jennifer’s October Morning Maple Leaves Quilt
If you’ve been having warm weather like I have until recently, then maybe you’ve felt a little chill in the air in the evenings. Which means now is the perfect time to sew together this beautiful maple throw. Fall will be here soon. Jennifer did a beautiful job making it!!
This gorgeous pattern is by Kim Diehl, and is FREE on the Henry Glass website. Go to: https://www.henryglassfabrics.net/product_images/Maples%20Leaves%20FINAL%20low%20res%20copy.pdf
Jennifer added a scrappy square border to hers. Which is a fun way to frame the whole quilt and use up the extra fabrics.
I gave Jennifer a few panto ideas, and she chose Soho by Sarah Ann Myers. It’s such a good one!! Soho is available at Urban Elementz. Go to: https://www.urbanelementz.com/soho.html
I used Cream Omni thread which I think blends beautifully on all the fabrics. The cream Omni thread is from Superior Threads. Go to: https://www.superiorthreads.com/omni-3004-cream-neutral/p/134-02-3004?show=Cones don’t forget to use “ASTLEISHA” at checkout to get 15% your order.
I used 8020 cotton poly blend batting from Winline Textiles, it’s my favorite 8020 blend batting.
The quilty texture is sooo good!!
Check out the texture on the minky backing!! Sooo good!
